A Little About Me

I grew up and have lived in small-town Minnesota my whole life.  While I love the comfort it brings me, I’ve always wanted to see more of the world.  I am currently a junior at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota where I am majoring in biology and Spanish.  I don’t know exactly what I want to do with those majors yet, but I hope to do work in the medical field some day.  Besides my science and Spanish classes, I play French horn in Saint Mary’s concert band.  When I’m not busy studying, I love being in the bluffs and finding adventures in Winona.

I first got the itch to travel the world when I studied in Guatemala for 3 weeks at an immersion school in high school with one of my Spanish teachers and fellow students.  Since then, I knew I was going to spend a semester abroad, I just didn’t know where.

I’m so excited to have the opportunity to travel to Spain and learn about its culture and improve my Spanish.  Thank you for reading about my adventures abroad and I hope you enjoy them!
